Understanding our refund and cancellation terms

1. General Refund Policy
At Andalay Beach Resort, we understand that plans may change. Our refund policy is designed to be fair to both our guests and our business operations. Refunds are processed according to the terms outlined below and the specific rate plan chosen at the time of booking.
2. Standard Cancellation Policy
Free Cancellation Period
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the check-in date will receive a full refund minus any processing fees.
More than 48 hours before check-in: 100% refund (minus processing fees)
24-48 hours before check-in: 50% refund
Less than 24 hours before check-in: No refund
No-show: No refund
3. Special Rate Policies
Non-Refundable Rates
Bookings made at special promotional rates or non-refundable rates are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances. These rates are clearly marked during the booking process.
Package Deals
Package deals that include accommodations, meals, or activities may have different cancellation terms. Please refer to the specific package terms provided at booking.
4. Refund Processing
Processing Time
• Credit card refunds: 5-10 business days
• Bank transfer refunds: 3-7 business days
• Cash payments: Immediate upon cancellation (if paid at property)
Processing Fees
A processing fee of 3% may be deducted from refunds to cover transaction costs, except for cancellations made more than 7 days in advance.
5. Weather and Force Majeure
In cases of severe weather conditions, natural disasters, or other force majeure events that make travel to our resort impossible or unsafe, we offer the following options:
• Full refund of all payments
• Rescheduling to a future date with no additional fees
• Credit for future use (valid for 12 months)
6. Early Departure
If you need to depart early from your stay, refunds for unused nights will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact our front desk immediately to discuss your situation. Emergency situations may qualify for partial refunds.
7. Group Bookings
Group bookings (5+ rooms) have special cancellation terms:
• 30+ days before check-in: Full refund minus deposit
• 15-30 days before check-in: 50% refund
• Less than 15 days: No refund
Individual room cancellations within a group booking may be subject to different terms.
8. Service Issues
If you experience service issues during your stay that significantly impact your experience, please notify our management immediately. We will work to resolve the issue and may offer compensation including partial refunds, credits, or complimentary services.

10. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment in case of unexpected circumstances. Many travel insurance policies cover trip cancellations due to illness, emergencies, or other covered reasons.
11. Dispute Resolution
If you disagree with a refund decision, you may request a review by contacting our management team. We will review your case within 5-7 business days and provide a written response. All decisions made by management are final.
